Iapos;m still receiving weekly letters from various graduate schools trying to convince me to apply there. Considering that on the GRE I indicated that my interest was in microbiology/immunology, I find some of the letters just odd. For example, Iapos;ve received three separate letters from the USC engineering graduate school emphasizing such things as their mechanical engineering program.

Others are a bit more of a stretch but at least they make sense such as University of Michigan trying to get me to apply to their chemical biology program.

A mild-mannered secretary self-induces a massive yeast infection that ends up having a mind of its own. It becomes very politically savvy and starts plotting the death of the presidentsapos; former kindergarten teacher. However, the yeast infection (which we later learn is lovingly named "Betty Crocker") meets some fierce opposition in the form of a meth-addicted janitor (played by Helen Hunt). The janitor (named "Sal") learns of Bettyapos;s cunning plan and goes at every length to stop this assassination from taking place. The final scene is a epic battle between Betty and Sal, in which Betty utilizes her vast knowledge of Swiss Army Knives to fight off Sal, while Sal utilizes her vast knowledge of fine French pastries to fight off Betty. In the end, Sal emerges victorious and becomes a national hero but unfortunately passes away due to a massive yeast infection.

I wonder if any studio would dig this.

The best "where I was" story I ever heard about the quake of apos;89 was from a guy I worked with briefly back when I was temping. Heapos;d been twelve the day of the quake, and was riding his bicycle through some hilly neighborhood when, he swore to me, he actually saw the quake coming, the road humping up far ahead of him and the bulge moving swiftly straight towards him like an ocean swell. "I jumped off my bike and ran into the nearest house, the home of people who were complete strangers to me, tore through their front den, where a bunch of people were watching TV, into the hall where I hopped into a closet and slammed the door behind me. Just after that, everything started shaking."

So somewhere there are several other people who have a story just as good. "We were watching the start of the World Series when this kid weapos;d never seen before in our lives suddenly ran through the room and into the hallway..."

Me? I was home sick waiting for life to begin anew, which in those pre-Internet days was at 5:00 pm when the news came on and restaurants started delivering. I think im getting bored with gossip girl. So not me to say this coz i was one of the pioneers who found out that the show even existed in the first place(self proclaimed much? haha). I donapos;t know. The showapos;s getting rather bland and mediocre and dont let me start on 90210. That one lagi mediocre to the maximum i am damn disappointed. Picture gossip girl in beverly hills but in a more dull way and the cast are all crap, thatapos;s 90210 for u. Same goes to the hills. I only look forward to watch ugly betty season 3 and antm cycle 11 which are way more interesting.

school today for first graduation project meeting. Had to drag my ass to school at freaking 9 in the morning but at least i get to eat at the canteen which i so dearly miss. I am so pumped to finish my gp so that i can get over and done with it. After which i dont have to stress over school anymore till the arrival of my results.
